Tragedy struck in Auchi, Edo State, as Big Brother Naija winner and actress, Phyna, raised an alarm over a heartbreaking incident involving her younger sister, Ruth Otabor.According to Phyna, Ruth—who recently graduated from Auchi Polytechnic—was involved in a ghastly accident after being hit by a truck belonging to the Dangote company while she was on a bike.Eyewitnesses reported that the truck driver fled the scene after knocking down Ruth and the bike rider. However, a good Samaritan, who is also a lecturer at the polytechnic, gave chase and managed to apprehend the fleeing driver. He was eventually handed over to the police.In a disturbing twist, Phyna revealed that the truck’s plate number was allegedly removed at the station in what appeared to be an attempt to cover up the involvement of the Dangote group.
Currently, Ruth Otabor is battling for her life in the hospital. One of her legs has already been amputated, and doctors are still monitoring the second leg, which may also be at risk. Phyna is calling on Nigerians and human rights bodies for justice, and is pleading for prayers as her sister fights for survival.Let’s all pray for Ruth Otabor.
